Job description: 

Position is responsible for repairing production equipment as well as facilities. Must have a good understanding of mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems. Able to create small control systems using PLC and ladder logic with various types of sensors for in-house projects. Inspect equipment for proper function and perform preventive maintenance. Diagnose equipment malfunctions and make repairs and adjustments. Ability to perform basic machining using lathe, mill, surface grinder, weld, and do light fabrication repair.

Primary accountabilities: 
-repair and perform preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment, such as, metal shears, metal saws, punch presses, CNC equipment, including electrical and automation controls.
-carry out regular maintenance (as required) on 480volt/3phase and 220volt/3phase control circuits
-good problem solving techniques to evaluate root cause failure and determine proper corrective action
-upgrade production lines as needed with new equipment/technology
-work with outside contractors on maintenance projects as needed
-comply with outstanding manufacturing practices, safety, and audit standards

Job Requirements:
-two years experience in an industrial maintenance environment
-must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
-knowledge of automation, electrical systems/electronics, and power transmission
-have own hand tools
-ability to work in/near heat, noise, gas, chemicals.
-frequently lift, climb, stand, walk, crouch, squat, bend, and kneel.
-work overtime including possible weekends as needed

Preferred qualifications:
-experience as an Industrial Electrician, trade school, or journeyman electrician, OR possess a degree majoring in automation and electronics
-troubleshooting and repairing 480 volt/ 3-phase and 220 volt/ 3-phase control circuits, PLC and variable frequency drive programming, preferably Allen-Bradley family of controllers
-basic electrical systems including starters, fuses, contacts, relays, etc.
-mechanical systems including gear boxes, chains, sprockets, motors, seals, bearings, etc.
-electronics including level probes, flow meters, drives/VFDs, etc.
-SERVO intelligent/robotic motors, encoders, etc.
-schematics including electrical blueprints with switches, starters, maps, relays, fuses, etc
-familiar with CMMS programming is a plus
