Automated Conveyor Systems, Inc is a successful and growing conveyor manufacturer with opportunities for those who have an interest in an engineering/manufacturing environment.  We sell, design, fabricate, and assemble material handling systems for customers all around the U.S. and we're currently looking to fill a position in our Assembly department.  You will be trained to assemble, inspect, and operate a vast array of our products including live belt, roller, and chain conveyors and components.  This position is a hands-on opportunity to have a challenging and rewarding career in our industry.

    * You will learn to assemble various types of conveying equipment and components with the use of supplied basic hand tools, air tools, and some specialty tools.
    * You will be trained to read assembly drawings and follow verbal/written instructions in order to assemble power transmission and conveyor components.

    * be able to effectively communicate and follow detailed instructions.
    * enjoy working with tools and have a strong mechanical aptitude.
    * ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull and lift up to 50 lbs.
    * ability to utilize safety shoes, safety glasses, and other personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
    * have proven track record of job stability, i.e. must have held a job at one place of employment for more than one year.

To be considered, you must be able to pass drug test and a fitness for duty test. A criminal background check will be performed. Personal references will be verified.

    * some college or technical education or equivalent work experience with mechanical assembly, such as industrial motors, gear reducers, bearings, timing belt, chain/sprockets, belt tracking     and pneumatic components and devices.
    * conveyor maintenance or experience in similar industry is a plus.

Great hours and benefits. Starting wages $14 - $17 / hr (depending on skill level).  Normal workweek is Monday - Friday, 6:00 am - 2:30 pm.  Some overtime may be available or required.
